5 Mar 2023: Brian GM4DIJ/P in 23cm Contest at Caldons Hill nr Stranraer
Brian worked 5 stations; best was G3XDY (Ipswich). Only problem was the car boot had to be left slightly open to let the feeder out. The courtesy light was on, and this was sufficient to drain the battery. I tried running it down the hill to re-start, but the road levelled out too soon. I hauled the genny back out and used it to re-start the car. It was just as well the milk lorry or anyone else didn’t come up the road! (Guess what Captain Mainwaring would have said)!
