9 Oct 2023 “Getting started on 23cm EME” – Dr Paul Dobie GM0PJD

Paul Dobie GMØPJD from Biggar writes: “With a 480,000 mile round trip, every EME contact (Earth-Moon-Earth / Moonbounce) is DX!  The presentation goes on a journey looking at the Moon as seen by the Apollo program, through to top tips to help radio amateurs successfully get their own 23cm signals safely to the moon & back.  On the way, the journey takes in a brief look at the history of EME, an analysis of the power link budget and a look at some of the Big Guns who have the biggest echoes off the Moon”.

(This talk was a great success when it was presented at GMRT-2023).
