This was an IET lecture held at Napier University at Craiglockhart.
The speakers were Hewlett-Packard retirees Hugh Walker (R) and James Gentles (of LRS).
They gave talks on the history of the HP factory at South Queensferry from 1966, manufacturing test equipment, to its final demise in 2010 after the company switched its main activity to manufacturing computers.
During the interval, guests were able to examine a display of items made at the plant.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Angus Annan MM1CCR, a former President of the RSGB.
A 3-volume book about the history of HP, with Vol 3 containing many photographs, is now out of print but is available on-line at www.hpsqf.uk
