“GW SOTA S2S and hog roast event 2024: Andre Saunders, GM3VLB (a member of the Lothians Radio Society) was a passionate activator of Scottish Islands and left a legacy to encourage their activations. To comply with his wishes, two commemorative quaichs (Scots word for cup) will be awarded annually under the auspices of SOTA and the Lothians Radio Society for activation of summits on Scottish islands. For some epic SOTA activations of never-before-activated SOTA summits on the Scottish islands during 2024, one of these awards went to Ben, GW4BML. Congratulations Ben… what’s next?”
