Participants: Colin GM4HWO (c), Briain GM8PKL, Peter GM4DTH, Brian GM8BJF (Peebles), Brian GM4DIJ. George GM4COK / DU1GM, Mike GM8KCS/M.
Colin’s power was varying, resulting in his signal strength varying between 57 and 10dB over 9. He plans to investigate the relays in his power amplifier. Briain GM8PKL reported the details of a high tech intercom based on computer networking technology for his mother to use as she is now back home. Brian GM8BJF had networking issues after reinstating his remote transceiver following his spell out of the country. Brian GM4DIJ was back after staying in Dumfriesshire. He had been active /P on various bands. George GM4COK / DU1GM had to be assisted by GM8BJF to work around Brian’s networking issues. He has recently acquired a Chinese mini-whip active aerial. He was impressed with the aerial but was totally unimpressed with the thin rubbishy coaxial cable supplied with it. Mike GM8KCS/M, returning from Murrayfield, called in near the end. Peter GM4DTH had spent the day near Bathgate investigating a fault in a ground source heat pump.
