LRS Messages of the Day

Wed 9th April 2025 – LRS Surplus Equipment Sale at St Fillan’s Church, 8 Buckstone Drive, EH10 6PD. Time 7:30 for 8:00pm. Club takes 10% of selling price.
LRS MEETINGS
LRS meetings are normally held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month (except July and August) at 8:00pm at the Braid Hills Hotel, 134 Braid Road, EH10 6JD.
In July and August Pub Nights are held at 7:30pm at Wee Bennet’s Bar at Morningside Station, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. There are also occasional Wee Bennet’s evenings arranged during the main club season.
Most items are archived in Meeting Reports or Society Activities.

LRS members are invited to this IET talk at the Napier University Craiglockhart Campus.
Registration is not essential, however it is helpful for us to manage the event. The Plus4 link to the registration page is given below:A reminder and any Joining Instructions will be sent on the 5th April.

CONTEST CALENDAR

The LRS usually operates GM3HAM/P from a great site near Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries & Galloway.
3-4 May 2025 – May VHF/UHF Contest – Nobody interested in operating from Gatehouse of Fleet. Norman MM0BMG may operate 432MHz on the Sunday from Lauder Common.
5-6 July 2025 – VHF NFD – LRS will enter, organized by Pete GM4BYF & Colin GM4HWO.
6-7 Sept 2025 – 2m Trophy – undecided at present.
RSGB GB2RS NEWS
Every Sunday morning in the Edinburgh area at 09:30h from LRS member Peter Dick GM4DTH. 70.425MHz FM, 145.525MHz FM & 433.525MHz FM. Then call-in to Peter at 10:00h on 144.575MHz for local net. Several LRS members often there.
